I wanted to know what it would be like if Louis Vuitton made a guitar strap, so I started experimenting. Taking classic leather working construction cues from the greats, I set out to make these as finished as possible. The straps are made from two layers of 4oz leather that are glued together, expertly stitched and then the edges are sanded, burnished, and painted to match the leather. If a more high end guitar strap exists, I haven't seen it.

This guitar strap was designed based on measurements taken from vintage guitar straps from the 1950s and 1960s: the kind of leather guitar strap you'd find in the case with a shiny new 1959 Fender Jazzmaster. Tone Party guitar straps are designed to pay homage to the timeless design of vintage straps, and to combine those iconic silhouettes with the very best of full-grain leathers.

Take this Tan guitar strap as an example: This leather is made by Seidel, one of the best leather tanneries in the U.S. It has a big following because of its soft feel, waterproof finish, and ability to age gracefully.

Just like your favorite guitar, Tone Party guitar straps get better with age. They'll show wear and use. And just like the greatest guitars, they show how you use them: If you use them well, the finish will change, the color will deepen, and the leather will soften to make this the most functional and beautiful guitar strap you've ever had.
